Picnic Volunteers Needed

May 26, 2024 will be here before we know it, and we will need our usual army of intrepid souls to help with picnic tasks or with food donations. Can you be part of the team?

Food Donations are easy because you deliver your donation to the picnic grounds that morning, and your work is done! We are looking for donations of cupcakes, slaw, and fruit. We especially are in need of fruit donations!

Slaw: Send email to Jacky Agnew
Fruit: Send email to Bonnie Plakos
Cupcakes: Send email to Marti Campbell

Helping At The Picnic: Each year, we make a big event easier by having many volunteers each doing their own bit, and the old saying that “many hands make light work” is proved to be true. None of the jobs require any training; all that is needed is a smile and the willingness to pitch in for a couple of hours on a (hopefully) sunny May afternoon. If you can help with any of the following tasks, please send an email to Paul Plakos!

Bean Runner: Move hot beans from cooking area to bean servers. This is an on-your-feet job and requires some physical strength and stamina to carry a hot and somewhat weighty pot of beans to and fro. First shift 11:45 to 1:15.

Kitchen Helper: Greet guests and hand out plates/napkins/utensils. First shift 11:45 to 1:15 or second shift 1:15 to 3:00(ish).

Burger/HotDog Server: Verify people’s orders and dispense burgers and dogs.

A big THANK YOU to all of our wonderful volunteers and supporters. We could not have a successful event without you!
