Donations Support Purchase of Rescue 4433

The North Sonoma Coast Volunteer Firefighter Association is assisting the North Sonoma Coast Fire Department with the purchase of its new Rescue vehicle, 4433. The Rescue is the first responding vehicle used for the majority of emergency calls. The Rescue carries the supplies needed for medical calls, tree clearing, traffic control, cliff and beach rescue and most of the supplies needed for traffic accident responses. The prior Rescue was 15 years old and had traveled well over 100,000 miles responding to over 5000 emergency calls. The new Rescue will serve the community well into the future. Generous public support has made it possible for the North Sonoma Coast Volunteer Firefighter Association to make the first two years’ worth of payments for the Rescue vehicle. The North Sonoma Coast Volunteer Firefighter Association will continue this practice based upon the public's continued donations and support. This will permit the fire department to focus on updating its aging ten vehicle fleet.
